Cyanotype Evidence
An archival collage Skill for research-led writing where evidence arrives in fragments. Cyanotype photograms establish material credibility; coral stitches reveal the relationship the article is testing.
CollageVisual traits
- Cyanotype texture
- Photogram evidence
- Coral stitch paths
- Archival composition
Output defaults
- 16:9 article canvas
- One concept per image
- Editable visual briefs
Creative direction
Expose the evidence, then connect only what matters.
Cyanotype Evidence selects a small family of specimens—architectural sections, plants, tools, documents—and arranges them as contact-printed clues. A stitched route is introduced only when it clarifies causation, continuity, or comparison.

- scrapbook nostalgia
- decorative botanical print
Palette behavior

Example set
Three exposures building one line of inquiry.
Blue chemistry and archival handling remain consistent while each frame changes the evidence family and the relationship under examination.
CollageLay out the fragments
Open with separated photograms that define the field of evidence without prematurely connecting everything.
CollageTrace the decisive continuity
Use one coral stitch to connect the two fragments that materially change the interpretation.
CollageAssemble the qualified finding
Close with a coherent but incomplete archive, preserving uncertainty where the article does.
How it reads an article
It treats research as a process of exposure.
A hidden system can appear as overlapping photograms; a historical continuity can become a stitch crossing separate exposures. Irregular edges preserve the sense that evidence was found and handled.
Best fit
Use it for architecture, science, memory, historical research, material culture, and investigative essays with a modest number of evidence types.
Use another Skill when
Avoid it for live data, step-by-step product tutorials, cheerful workplace stories, or claims that require realistic current photography.
How does cyanotype add meaning rather than nostalgia?
The contact-print process suggests exposure, absence, and material evidence. By limiting the archive and assigning each stitch a logical role, the Skill uses the medium to express how knowledge is assembled.
